 Chorus
Keep On Singing
National Honor Society is an
organization for the school's
finest. Elliot DeGroot again
demonstrates his leadership
ability in one of the organiza
CBA students work hard to keep
their grades up regardless of
where they are, Anton Joach-
impillai finds this a necessity as
he is a member of NHS.
W
ith each passing year, the CBA
chorus grows in large numbers
as well as in improving its pitch.
Thanks to the surplus singers, the chorus fi
nally had a strong alto selection, which al
lowed the harmony in various songs to be
heard at last.
A large chorus with numerous voice rang
es gave Mr. Caraher, the music teacher and
chorus director, the incentive to perform
complex songs, such as "Music of the Night"
from Phantom of the Opera and "Some
where in my Memory" from the movie Home
Alone. These selections and others were well
received by an attentive audience at the an
nual Christmas concert, as well as by fellow
students in the chorus' first general assembly
at school. A duet sung by Senior Tony Stirpe
and by Junior Andrena Irvin became the
most memorable song of both concerts.
Under Mr. Caraher's guidance CBA has
developed a strong musical department of
which the chorus is an important part. The
chorus has come a long way since its humble
beginnings, due mostly to Mr. Caraher's hard
work. It will continue to thrive. It's definitely
a chorus with class!
