The eighth grade is a fun and exciting year. The students roaming thejunior high halls are no longer the tiny seventh graders that they used to be. They have grown up and learned the ropes of going to CBA. They have found the routine that works for them and the organization that
keeps them success ful. The rush to the lunch line is not quite as high-paced, the frenzy between classes is not as cut throat, and the work load seems just a bit easier than last year’s.
Although they are a bit older and a bit wiser, eighth graders are still stuck on a bot tom rung. The cycle of school - rising to the
top and then falling to be the youngest in the school once again - takes hold of everyone, and eighth graders are no exception. In another year, they will be ninth graders starting anew, restless to be on the top of the ladder once again.
