Coach Bob Felasco had announced that 1973-74 would be a building year for the Big Brothers, who had lost most of their championship team the year before. However, Coach Felasco did his building in the first third of the season; the Brothers spotting league competition an early advantage with two home losses. But from then on it was a league leading defense, disci­ plined team play, and strong support from the bench which lead the Brothers to key road victories over Ludden and Central Tech; and paved the way for a C O -championship at the end of regular season play.
