Back To The Future
Occupational Views of Seniors
The question was asked of Seniors: When you
were younger, what did you want to be when
you grew up? Most responses were rather or
dinary and ambitious, as children usually think
that way. For instance, many of the guys said
they wanted to be Pro Football players. Others
said the President of the United States, or even
the underpaid profession of teachers. Still others
claimed to want to be doctors, veterinarians,
lawyers, businesspersons, writers, or actors. Here
is a list of the more unusual occupational choices:
Mike Allan — Truck Driver
Dave Bonney — Godzilla
Scott Bradley — Surfer
Heidi Chang — Tree
Mike Christou — Baker
John Colella — Cowboy
Dm Damico — John McEnroe
Shawn Hanrahan — Oceanographer
Fredrik Hogberg — Bigger
Jamie Howell — Construction Worker
Craig Humpleby — Farmer
Carolyn James — Jockey
Dina Jenks — Ballerina
Kristen Kinney — Demolition Derby Driver
Owen Michaelis — Inventor
Stefanie Moffa — Olympic Swimmer
John Nave — Pilot
Megan Phelan — Dancer
Tom Romig — Landscaper
Jeannine Santana — Worker at Sea World
Kendall Scott — Singer
Charles Stanton — Astronaut
Patrick Gilligan and Todd Shanning opted for
becoming Race Car Drivers. Probably one of the
most ambitious occupations was the choice of
Jeff Maryak, Brian Satalin, and Jenn Smith. They
all wanted to be Spiderman, although Jenn Smith
did remark that if Spiderman was taken, she
would go for Wonder Woman ...
Jeannine Santana
Quiet time. Seniors sit and listen attentively as
the priest gives his homily. They are also setting
a good example for the younger grades in con
duct during a mass.
