The Band, like the Chorus, met after school. Full rehearsals were held on Mondays and Wednes days, with a special meeting on Fridays for those interested in jazz. In the second semester, the band worked in the new sched ule that allowed them to meet in
the morning before first period. The band rehearsed regularly until December when they per formed with the chorus at the Christmas concert.
Band members, under the di rection of Mr. Caraher, prac ticed several songs from all types
of music; Jazz, Rock, Easy Lis tening, Country, and Seasonal. Their work was displayed at two concerts, one in December, and the other in the Spring. Band members improved their musical talents and became proficient in their instruments.
When it comes time for some extra spirit at the pep rally, band members can be counted on to provide that special spark.
