 The Science Olympiad was an activity for students with an ap­ titude for science. It sought to improve science education and to increase student enthusiasm in that field. In tournaments, stu­ dents chose to work in categories as common as Aerodynamics or as peculiar as the infamous Egg Drop.
The Regional finals for the Sci­ ence Olympiad took place in Le
Moyne College on March 16, 1991. Our numerous partici­ pants, under the guidance of Mr. Schnipp, were well trained and eager to take on their oppo­ nents. The competitions were similar to popular board games, TV shows, and athletic games. Obviously, the element of fun could not be forgotten.

Howie Barnes, Christie Ben­ son, Sara Beth Bonacci, Ra­ chel Cuenca, Patrick Don­ nelly, Nora Dunn, Michael Kolb, Brian Lederman, John McGowan, Leo Medico, Ben Monreal, Gretel Monreal, and Amar Suryadera. These stu­ dents proved that learning sci­ ence can be fun. It all depends on the person’s attitude.
Leo Medico observes closely the pieces to his experiment to make sure every­ thing is in order. Leo is more careful than anyone else with his precision.
One of the many projects organized dur­ ing Black History Month is to make the CBA student body more aware of the contributions of African-American peo­ ple. This is one of the displays used for this purpose.
