Meeting challenges was the goal for most Seniors on worthy among the list was Yale’s acceptance of Steve
the tour. They were kept busy with tasks as varied as
the responsibility for specialized courses to college se
lection. The hectic process of investigation, application,
and decision kept most concert goers closeted in the
guidance office for hours on end.
On the academic side of the coin, the computer age
hit C B A with a vengeance. Those Seniors who were not
found in the Guidance Office generally crammed them-
selfs into the Computer Room to work out their latest
contribution to the video game crusade. Term papers,
Psychology tests, and Calculus Problems occupied
what available free time was left. Still, the hard work
paid off as the college acceptances rolled in. Note
Hays, Dartmouth’s nod to Andy Nye and the Naval
Academy appointment won by John Fitzgerald.
Hard work was not limited to the classroom alone.
Billy Owens choice as captain of the All City Football
team as well as berths won by Howard Jackson,
Jamie Seeks and Mike Buck gave every indication
that the performances of the seniors would recieve
critical acclaim. In addition, All-City Soccer standout,
Steve Buckler led a long list of newspaper selections
for that team.
Finally, Tom Hoffman’s DAR good citizen award
rounded out the list of some of the noteworthy contribu
tions to the tour.
