The Pace of Change
Throughout this whole book, we hove discussed the change of pace
within our school and our society. Now, let's examine, for once, the
pace of this change (even though most of you aren't going to read
this article anyway).
The first and foremost of these changes would involve the new
faculty at CBA. The fourteen new staff members who entered these
halls instilled a new spirit in the school. The younger ones brought new
and energetic teaching styles to the worlds of chemistry, English, and
social studies. The older ones, though, brought experience and time-
honored tradition to the biology and physics fields among others. No
matter what age, the new faculty at CBA became part of the rapid
change of face within the school itself.
In addition to these changes inside the walls of the Academy, many
other facets of the world underwent transformation. Our entire world
has become linked through the information superhighway. On the
positive side, every human being is now united towards a common
goal of peace and prosperity. However, in moving ahead, we have
exceeded the speed limit and left behind some of the more traditional
aspects of life — the true sound of a grand piano has been replaced
by the fake noise created by a synthesizer, for example.
By the way, in case you did notice, the yearbook itself experienced
a change of format. So, you would be correct in saying that some
of the ways we did things may have been a little different. After all,
it is always good to have a change of pace once in a while.
