Turning 18
Since I was a little child, I had always thought that turning eight
een would be a huge event. When I think back, eighteen-year-
olds seemed so mature and sophisticated, Well, here I am, and for
some reason, I just do not feel that way.
Turning eighteen can mean much responsibility. College decisions
must be made, which, of oourse, are some of the most important
decisions we will ever have to make. At this age there is quite a
bit of pressure from parents, friends, and school. Despite the re
sponsibilities, turning eighteen can be rather exciting. Many of those
clubs you never dreamed of being allowed to go into, you now
enjoy every Saturday and soon you'll be living on your own and
going wherever it is that you want, when you want. Turning eight
een brings back some old experiences and memories as well. We
have all gone through many laughs, tears, friends and events here
at CBA and up until now our most vivid memories were from junior
high. Throughout Montreal, parties, dances, all our outings, going
to games and getting lost, Darien Lake, watching Tony dancing
with the German girls at Octoberfest, to our long awaited senior
ball and graduation, we have made many memories for ourselves.
We all have gone through so much together and now are turning
eighteen together. We will leave the first eighteen years of our life
behind, treasure our memories and start a new life for ourselves at
eighteen. Hopefully, our next years will be as great as our first eight
een.
