 Parking Privileges
Fact or Fantasy?
To say that the juniors have parking privileges (i.e. the upper
lot) is a horrible misinterpretation. Walking down steep hills in the
rain, snow, and mud every morning and walking back up a moun
tain-like path every afternoon is more like a junior punishment.
Soaked, dirty, and splattered eleventh graders trudging in all kinds
of nasty crud embedded on pants, skirts, and tights is not an
uncommon sight. As the seniors pull their cars into the cozy little
parking lot nestled next to the side door, they view scenes of
juniors tumbling down muddy slopes. By the time winter arrives,
the juniors dress as eskimos in hopes of avoiding frost bite as they
struggle against the arctic winds and pray to reach that blessed
door before collapsing into frozen unconsciousness. Now, I ask
you, after hearing all of these junior nightmares, do they have
parking privileges?
