Student Government
The student government plays a very active role in the social life
of students at CBA. Student senate sponsors a variety of events
throughout the school year. For example, in November of 1994 they
chartered buses so that we could go and watch the Boys’ Varsity
Soccer team compete in the New York state finals. Members of the
student government are always willing to take time and listen to your
suggestions and do whatever they can to keep the students entertained.
During the 1994-1995 school year the student senate has sponsored
dances, pep rallies, dress down days, spirit week, etc. Basically without
the student government here to keep us entertained CBA would be
National Honor Society
Each year, the National Honor Society chooses juniors and seniors
who stand out in the school community for their excellence in leadership,
academics, character, and service. The group’s goal is to use their talents
in service to both the CBA and Syracuse communities.
In school. National Honor Society members help out by tutoring
students in all subject areas. At Thanksgiving they organize a food drive
to gather canned goods to be given to local homeless shelters. In the
spring NHS members coordinate a blood drive run by the American Red
a very boring place to be.
