Something Old, Something New
The phrase something old, something new, someĀ
thing borrowed, and something blue just about fits these
three clubs; Art Club, Math Team, French Club. Art
Club and Math Team are two classic clubs at CBA while
the French Club is a new addition.
The Art Club and French Club had a cultured year.
The French Club had a sparse amount of meetings like
many starting clubs. However, each one presented unique
things about French culture and language. The Art Club
used borrowed materials and new techniques to create
fascinating works. The club added to its long list of
creative creations with stain glass window hangings.
The CBA Math Team made all the competition feel
blue. With a new coach and enough new people to
make two competing teams, the Math Team wiped out
the competition winning almost all of its meets. Top
scorers Ben Monreal and Brian Lederman, three year
veterans, led the team to victory with the assistance of
three other talented veteran seniors. This has been one
of the best years ever for the team surpassing last year
when it was second among small schools. However, the
younger members of the team are worried that they will
be a much weaker team next year with the loss of the
five seniors who placed the team on the road to victory
