"Try to picture God as a room. In the very center is a giant
disco ball covered in mirrored facets. Each one of us is a
single facet that combined make up the entire disco ball.
Just as each facet reflects a beam of light, we each reflect
something of God. Not one of us even comes close to
reflecting the entire picture; we are limited in our
relfections because God is God, eternal and almighty.
Each reflection is true, however, and they may not always
agree, as I learned this summer, but when we put all of
our reflections and images together we are able to get a
more complete image of God. Each is different and just as
essential as the next."
