What a year to be
a Brother!
This year’s sports programs, once again, exceeded their expectations and reset the bar of excellence here at CBA. Many of the fall sports won their sectional championships, including boys’ and girls’ soccer, football, and swimming. Some of these teams went unbeaten in the regular season. All of the homecoming games were a success.
As always, the Brothers’ sports teams were well supported by faculty, friends, and families. When the seasons come to a close, this year’s seniors realize they will never be in competition on behalf of the Brothers again and notice sadly that the year had gone by too fast. Ah well, there’s always coming back as a fan.
It is, indeed, a great time to be a brother. Jeff Callahan and Javee Javier
The teams line up in one of CBA’s home football games. With athletes in every grade, football is one of the biggest sports at CBA. This year we benefitted from the all-state performance of quarterback Joe Casamento, who led the team into the state tournament.
The thrill of competition is evident on the face of sophomore Caitlin Gucker-Canter as she leaps across the sand in the long jump. CBA athletes compete in teams where team-work is vital, like football, and also in sports like track, where the team benefits from individual performances.
