Homecoming 2000 was about as fun as a week could be, given that we still had to be in school. The week started a bit slowlyonTuesday, withhatday. HatsofftoAdamTornabene‘01 and Martin McMahon ‘02, along with many others, for their exciting selections. The always popular Tacky Day, on Wednesday, was as colorful as the psychedelic ‘60s. It looked like everyone raided eitherthe vintage clothing store ortheir dad’s golf clothes for these outfits. School colors brightened the building up on Thursday.
The real excitement came on Friday, when everyone wore a shirt proudly bearing their class year. When we gathered in the gym at the end of the day forthe pep rally, the sea of purple and gold was an awesome sight. Welcoming our varsity athletes and wishing them well in their seasons was a thrilling end to an exciting week in the building. Then the thrill continued Friday night, as our undefeated football team took on Cortland and soundly sent them packing, 53-6. All in all, it was a great week to be a Brother.
