BROTHER A. DENIS MULLIGAN
1904-1975
Brother Denis Mulligan was born in Brooklyn. He made his novitiate with the Brothers of the Christian Schools at Pocantico Hills, New York. In 1971 Brother celebrated his Golden Jubilee as a Christian Brother.
His assignments during the years found him in Albany, Troy, Staten Island; Providence, R.I. , Buffalo and Syracuse.
While in Syracuse from 1931 to 1939, he was vice-principal and athletic director at C.B.A. He was also moderator of basketball and several of his teams were winners in out-of-town tournaments.
In 1966 he returned to C.B.A. to continue where he left off in 1939 in the math department. After two years of teaching, he became ill and retired from the classroom. He died on February sixth of this year.
