 arpe Diem Seize the Day
The sun has risen and a new day is upon us. The stars have fallen out of sight, leaving us with our wishes in hand. Do we hold them there forever, or
do we let them fly into reality?
In The Little Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupery wrote, "All grown-ups were once children - although
few of them remember it.” Time is unforgiving to the treasure of memories. Often times the only remembrance we have of an event is a three-by-five
photograph of a young smile with a milk mustache. Maybe we are lucky enough to capture the predominant feeling of this event in the written
work of a journal. But time does not capture the moment in its entirety.
Live for the day. Relish the moment. That
feeling, that look, that taste, that smell, that sound; it will never come again. W e need to act on that moment to make our wishes come true. W e need to make that moment ours.
Christian Brothers Academy has blessed us with the opportunity to follow our dreams. \ATether it is in the classroom, on the stage, or on the field, we all have the ability to achieve what we set our minds to.
W hen we leave these halls of the Academy, our memories will not focus on what we were, but rather what we were made to be.
he spotlight is on us. It's time to shine.
