Black History Month
Assembly
Guest speaker Reverend Colette Matthews inspired all of us with her message of finding the light in each of us. She reached and touched our hearts and our minds.
Sophomore Melanie George sang the Black National Anthem beautifully.
Freshmen Cami Hayden and Quanita Williams read two beautiful poems to the school. Their lyrical contribuion was appreciated.
Our senior high chorus sang “Amazing Grace” and "America the Beautiful” to show our pride and diversity.
This is the group that put together this year’s assembly. They brought pride and inspiration to Black History Month for all of us and did a wonderful job. Joining guest speaker Reverend Matthews are (1-r) Jennifer Williams, Lawrence Denson, Melanie George, Quanita Williams, Hazel Johnson, Cami Hayden, Jennie Huling, Anika Paris, and Lavar Lobdell
