This past year the C.B.A. Math Team showed impressive form in winning virtually all of the meets they competed in. Mr. Kessler once again was the mentor of the team this year, and is largely responsible for the teamwork needed in winning several tournaments.
The usual power block composed of seniors was strangely in absence this year (save for Vincent Light), but the commanding role was smoothly taken over by the juniors. Andrew Leja, Steve Milligan, John Villani, James McNeill, Peter Carbone, Michael Geiss, Dennis Daley and Dan Pilch were the leading edge of a wave which swamped the competition. Sophomore Stephen Hays also provided much help in a winning effort, along with several others.
With the addition of new members and past experience, the C.B.A. "Mathletes” are looking forward to even better prospects for next year.
