Mock Trial
In its sixth year at CBA, the mock trial team has demon strated considerable improvement since its inception. The n u m b e r o f c o m p e t i t o r s h a s i n c r e a s e d t h r e e f o l d in f o u r y e a r s , and team skill has grown exponentially, as seen with a quar terfinal appearance in last year’s county final.
Along with its coming of age comes team members’ awareness with the due process of law, simulated in mock trials. Andfamiliarity means skill. As Junior team member
Todd Gagne remarked, “This activity not only enables me to
think carefully and to make decisions quickly, but also provides me with an appreciation for what lawyers do. ’’ The members ofmock trial relish the realism that the experience provides and it is no small wonder that, with the team’s professionalism and dedication, it is one of the best teams in
the county.
