2022 was a season of growth for Fleet 63 on Barnegat Bay. We started our year
in early Spring with a work party to start the restoration process of #218 Amie.
The deck was removed and stripped of all hardware and the hull was prepped for
a new cabin structure, main bulkhead and deck that would later be refitted by
Ensign Spars.
In March, two boats from Fleet 63 made the trip south to Columbia SC for the
Ensign Midwinter Regatta on Lake Murray. Joe Paccione and #1511 Dolce P
finished first and Dave Willner with #1231 Platypus finished in 6 .

Our Championship season started on June 25 with weekly racing through

held with only 1 race abandoned during week two due to heavy winds. There
were only three boats qualified for the Championship which was won this year by
#387 Smoke, skippered by Fleet 63 F/C Trace Dittenhofer.
This year we did have 2 new boats on the course- 13-year-old Jimmy Mc Cann
and #139 Brigand made it out for the last 2 weekends of racing, as well as 14-
year-old Cameron Hart and #710 Irish Mist who made it out for the last 3
