We the staff at Latte magazine meet regularly to conjure up story ideas, thoughts, opinions and images that speak of an island, a heritage, a culture and a people. Drift into the past and imagine ancient storytellers sitting around a fire sharing their stories, their ideas, their values and beliefs.
It is this legacy of storytelling that is the root, the foundation, and the inspiration for Latte. We pay homage to our ancestry, to the ancient storytellers for their incantations of the past and their oral reportage of the stories of the day.
We are today’s storytellers speaking in the modern medium of glossy paper and colored ink. We at Latte believe in a monthly magazine with dual voices – one that respects the Chamoru identity and heritage, and another that revels in contemporary Guam and our islands
multiculturalism.
Our goal every month is to deliver a forum that is fresh, bold, honest, and respectful of our cultural connection and our splendid diversity.
