training at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., Oct. 15.
The FARP team is an Air Combat Command program that
trains, organizes and equips LRS personnel in the conduct
of forward refueling operations in support of worldwide
contingencies. FARP crew members are responsible for
refueling aircraft and disassembling the site by remov-
ing excess aircraft fuel out of fuel line hoses and running
equipment back to its designated aircraft in an Air Com-
bat Command standard of 30 minutes. The FARP capabil-
ity allows for projection of combat power and rescue forc-
es from an infinite number of locations around the world.
This is the first time an A-10 was refueled via FARP at D-M.
