   Marine Corps seeks to utilize Lightning Technician Program
   U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Jared Stevison, Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 214 avionics technician, applies low observable paste to the wing of an F-35A Lightning II aircraft May 9, 2022, at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. Stevison is one of 12 Marines sent to Luke from Marine Corps Air Station Yuma to learn about the Lightning Technician Program in order to implement the program at their base. Luke AFB’s LTP, which blends F-35 maintenance career fields, maximizes manpower utilization and increases mis- sion effectiveness.

Cooper McQuade, Marine Fight- er Attack Squadron 214 airframe mechanic, signals an F-35A Lightning II pilot to brake prior to launch May 9, 2022, at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. McQuade, one of 12 Marines from Marine Fighter Attack Squadron, Ma- rine Corps Air Station Yuma, was at Luke AFB to learn about the Lightning Technician Program. The Marines will use the LTP at MCAS Yuma when they return.
