DM pilot saved 6 lives, awarded Flying Cross

U.S. Air Force Maj. Mark Ross, 66th Rescue Squadron HH-60G Evaluator helicopter pilot,
at right, is awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross by Col. John Creel at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, Sept. 23, 2023. Ross was award- ed the DFC because of his heroism and extraor- dinary actions in aerial flight during is deploy- ment to Kabul, Afghanistan; He led the last U.S. Air Force HH-60G helicopters out of Afghani- stan, through known Taliban-controlled surface to air weapon systems, on August 29, 2021.

Honorary Commander Change of Command 2023

John Creel, 12th Air Force (Air Forces Southern) deputy commander, presents a gui- don to Linda Morales, CEO of The Planning Center, signifying her sta- tus as 12th AF honorary command- er at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona, Oct. 12, 2023.
