Thunderbolt families learn about equine therapy
A volunteer and a child from Luke Air Force Base’s Exceptional Family Member Pro- gram lead a horse over an obstacle at Horses Help in Phoenix. April is Autism Awareness Month, which pro- motes a nationwide effort to promote inclu- sion and open oppor- tunities to individuals with special needs.

Tickets
SFS issued 62 traffic citations for mov- ing and nonmoving violations.
Vehicle accidents
March 22: SFS responded to a report of damage to government property. The sub- ject was holding a clipboard while getting into the vehicle when it came in contact with the window causing the window to shatter. No injuries were reported.
March 27: SFS responded to a report of a minor two-vehicle accident at Bldg. 914. A driver was backing a vehicle and struck the side of another vehicle causing paint transfer and a 3-inch dent. No injuries were reported. The driver was issued a citation.
March 28: SFS responded to a report of a minor two-vehicle accident in the shop- pette parking lot. A driver was leaving a fuel pump and struck another vehicle
causing scratches and paint transfer. The driver was issued a citation. No injuries were reported.
April 1: SFS responded to a report of a vehicle breakdown at the intersection of Mitchell Street and Jerstad Lane. A patrol arrived on scene and assisted with traffic control. No injuries were reported.
April 2: SFS responded to a report of a minor two-vehicle accident at the commis- sary parking lot. A driver was backing and struck another vehicle causing scratches and a dent. No injuries were reported.
April 4: A SFS military working dog unit responded to a report of an incident on Litchfield Road and Corsair Street. The government-owned vehicle clashed with another vehicle causing the K9 vehicle to spin. All individuals, to include the MWD, were uninjured. Glendale police arrived and took control.
April 6: SFS responded to a report of a minor two-vehicle accident at the softball field parking lot. Two witnesses stated they observed a vehicle cause damage to another vehicle while backing and left the scene. No subjects were found nor were injuries reported.
April 8: Glendale police requested SFS assistance for a vehicle accident on Litch- field Road and Solano Drive. SFS patrols responded and conducted traffic control.
April 8: SFS responded to a report of a minor single vehicle accident at Kachina Gate. A vehicle struck the sidewalk caus- ing the right front tire to pop and separate from the wheel. No injuries were reported.
April 9: SFS responded to a report of damage to personal property in the park- ing lot of Bldg. 687/Fighter Country Inn. An individual’s vehicle had a dent on the driver side rear bumper. No subjects were found nor were injuries reported.
April 10: SFS responded to a report of a minor two-vehicle accident at Kachina Gate. An individual’s vehicle struck a stopped vehicle causing minor dents. No injuries were reported.
April 12: SFS responded to a report of a minor two-vehicle accident in the Bldg. 460 parking lot. An individual was backing and struck another vehicle causing a dent, broken headlight and scratches. The indi- vidual was cited. No injuries were reported.
April 12: SFS responded to a report of a minor single vehicle accident at the South Gate. The individual was driving a large semi and miscalculated the turn, hit and damaged a brick post that caused minor scrapes on the trailer. No injuries were reported.
April 17: SFS responded to a report of damage to personal property. An indi- vidual was driving out of Kachina Gate
when a rock kicked up by a landscaper struck and shattered a side window. No injuries were reported.
April 18: SFS responded to a report of a minor two-vehicle accident at the South Gate. An individual struck a vehicle from behind causing the front bumper to crack and minor damage to a tow hitch. No in- juries were reported.
April 19: SFS responded to a report of a hit and run. A vehicle was struck by another vehicle leaving the base gym. Both individuals stopped to assess the damages. The individual at fault then left the scene. There were no injuries reported and the subject was not found.
Emergency responses
March 19: SFS responded to a warrant’s hit at Bldg. 897 out of Maricopa County for failure to appear. MSCO confirmed the warrant but did not extradite. The individual was denied entry and escorted off the installation.
March 24: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 820. Patrols arrived on scene and made contact with the patient who had a head injury and a laceration through the tongue. The patient was treated and transported to Abrazo West Hospital.
