Coaching Education/Student-Athlete Focused Events
One of the main priorities of the IHSVCA is to provide quality coaching education for all levels of play.
• In 2017, our first year our main speaker was Tom Pingle, the former Senior Director, Indoor Events and High Performance for USA Volleyball.
• Second year, Anne Kordes, the former University of Louisville Head Coach, served as our main speaker.
• In 2019 we had Lloy Ball, a four-time Olympian and gold medalist as the main presenter.
• We found a way to win even during the pandemic with 12 Zoom coaches training sessions in 2020. More than 1k coaches registered for these sessions.
• This year we conducted five Zoom coaches training sessions that were requested by our coaches.
Another priority is to host quality student-athlete focused events.
• The Volleyball State Finals Banquet is considered the best
banquet for any sport in Indiana, and it rivals some of the best banquets in the country.
