ART® Guidelines For Trend Traders
In Non-Trending Markets

If you are using the ART® Trading Software to trend trade then you need to realize what to do
in non‐trending markets. All markets move in cycles that include trending and non‐trending
cycles. Trend traders perform best in trending markets while “Scalpers” can trade a variety of
market conditions including non‐trending markets. Trend traders can use non‐trending
“Channeling” market conditions by “Bracketing” them and then wait for the next trend trade
“break‐out” from these types of consolidations.

Markets trend about 35% of the time, so 65% of the time markets are trend‐less. The idea is for you
to learn how to handle the market cycles that are giving you trouble. Our software does not do
this for you, you will need to master this by being able to identify non‐trending market cycles
vs. trending market cycles. You will also need to use the ART® Risk Control procedures using
the Trade Size Calculator™ on each and every trade. Master trend traders have learned how to
go from one winning trend to another while reducing their trend trading in non‐trending
markets. We recommend you “Paper Trade” until you master these skills.

It is important to realize that the ART® Software alone is NOT what makes YOU a great trader!
You will need to learn the entire ART® methodology and master it before you will ever be
successful with the ART® Trading Software. We never know in advance who will have the ability
to be successful and who will not with the ART® System. So, this is why we are upfront when we
say we cannot guarantee that you will be successful trading the financial markets using the
ART® System.

During your ART® 30‐Day Trial, experiment with different time frames and market cycles so you
get a feel of how to use the ART® Software as a trading “Tool” where you decide what markets,
time frames, and market cycles are best for your style of trading.
