I was surprised by how similar my phrases are to those in Cohen’s “Chelsea Hotel #2.” I thought mine were more appropriate as captions to an Antonioni film, but they are most likely thoughts that crept into my mind when I was reminiscing of past lovers and friends. Some died young while others, along with me, have grown older.
I miss them/us.
