 While struggling to produce a new body of work, I developed an overwhelming feeling of being paralyzed. Frustrated and angry (searching for a subject) I balled up Play-Doh, rolled it in flour and began throwing it at my scanner—a.k.a. my camera.
I love laying down objects, composing them carefully, and recording their existence. Details are very crisp where the objects gently kiss the glass. Then, immediately, the focus is heightened as the object is surrounded in blackness, making the field of vision extremely short-sighted.
However, there is clarity when acknowledging that the act of juggling is waiting for the ball to drop.
