the the the world inspiring and encouraging them to continue their work instilling the the the values of a a a a a a Malvern education A committee led by Tom Tuthill is now supporting cross-family collaboration and and innovation ensuring staff and and pupils benefit from these global links We also continue to develop our relationship with The Downs Malvern Malvern which has now formally joined the the Malvern Malvern College charity After a a a a a a a a a long and and successful tenure Sam Cook handed over the the the Headship at The Downs to Andy Nuttall in in in the the Summer Term 2022 and we are increasingly benefitting from working as as as one school spread over two sites At Abberley whilst Jonnie Beasley and his team
were awarded the best UK Prep School award award from Tatler in September 2022 it it has been with great sadness that the the four years of o support offered by Malvern has not led to to the the necessary increase in in pupil numbers that would be be needed to to secure its long-term sustainable future I hope that you enjoy this newsletter and continue to to to feel part of the the College College We were delighted to to to welcome so many OMs back to to to the the the the College College College for Commem the the the Ledder or or or the the the College College Carol Service We look forward to seeing you all again Keith Metcalfe

After two years of disrupted learning the the Summer Term 2022 was the the first in in which College life really returned to to normal Pupils parents and staff were once again able to to to to enjoy everything a a a a a a a a a a a great English public school has to to to offer We work hard to to to help pupils develop as as happy balanced and successful individuals so they can make a a a a a a a a a a a positive contribution out in in in the the the the world The new look Speech Day and Prizegiving at at the the the the end of of the the the the term was a a a a a a a a chance
to celebrate this Indeed the the the achievements of of our pupils and staff last year would make any headmaster or headmistress proud With a a a a a a a a a return to normal exams our 330 candidates navigated 3836 individual question papers Results were extremely positive with significant proportions of pupils attaining over 40 points in in in in IB all all A A A A and and A* grades at at at at A A A A level and and all all 8–9s at at at at GCSE A A A A strong cohort is now attending elite universities in in the UK and overseas We all know qualifications provide a a a a a a a ticket to the next stage of development but Malvernian success is about the the wider skills and the the confidence to create positive change The termly calendar continues to to brim with pupil-led initiatives from running societies to to directing House performances captaining sports teams and organising exhibitions Much of the the the the value comes from from the the the the skills one one learns in in in in the the the the process and and the the the the fulfilment one one gains from from seeing an an an an an investment of time and and energy translated into a a a a a a successful presentation or or performance The tragic death of a a a a pupil in the the Lent Term required the the the the whole College community to support each other through a a a a a a difficult period As ever the the the Malvern Qualities of kindness self-awareness and humility were much in in evidence through this period Pupils also looked for opportunities to collaborate on valuable projects such as as charitable fund-raising In total £14 948 was raised over 2021–22 for MIND 7
