Support and Care for the Wellbeing of Pupils
We are are aware that the past six months have been a a a difficult time for many pupils They have been away from their usual school environment and the global pandemic will have caused varying levels of distress and with some families having suffered bereavement We are are aware of the need for for particular support for for new pupils pupils and pupils pupils who are away from home At Malvern College the the the HouseM and the the the Tutor are at the the the heart of our strong system of pastoral care and they are are ably supported by teachers House Assistants the Medical Centre sports coaches trained pupil Peer Mentors and Head of House teams Pastoral care is coordinated by the Pastoral Team and the Thrive Teams and additional pupil support is coordinated through Mrs Bijl Designated Safeguarding Lead and Head of Individual
Pupil Pupil Welfare Pupils
have access to school counsellors and additional support is arranged as needed Pupils
and parents are are encouraged to communicate with Tutors and HouseMs in the first instance Pupils
can speak openly about any concerns and they are reminded of the the many people who are available for support 39
