Maintaining a Daily Routine
In order to ensure that all pupils are able to reach their full potential in each lesson, we would like them to consider the following when preparing for and participating in distance learning:
Start of the Day
Pupils should follow usual morning routines of washing, getting dressed and eating breakfast. This helps to prepare psychologically for work and study. Whilst we don’t have a uniform, getting dressed for lessons and then changing into more informal clothes at the end of the day helps establish the right mindset for study. Furthermore, for any video calls children
must be fully dressed in suitable clothing.
Lessons start each day at 08.30, there will be Assemblies at 08.15. On some days pupils should be ready to start a few minutes early. Leaping straight out of bed a few minutes before the lesson starts is not recommended.
Establish Boundaries
Where possible, keep to the structure of the school day. The weekly timetable will be published on Friday before the new week starts. We would ask parents to familiarise themselves with the timetable and to support pupils
in following it.
Be Prepared
Children should have any books, staionery and a drink of water ready before each lesson.
