OM Connect is the official networking platform for Malvern College alumni, with over 2700 members. This is a closed network, for OMs and parents in the Malvernian Society, to provide career- mentoring and float ideas, to job hunt or recruit, or simply to reconnect. “OM Connect was invaluable in helping me to secure work placements for my university year abroad. I received help from an OM based in France redrafting my CV to make it more attractive to prospective employers which was instrumental in securing a work placement in Paris. Additionally, OM Connect played a crucial role in helping me explore job opportunities in Argentina and ultimately secure a position there as well as receiving guidance from an OM through the intricacies of Argentine bureaucracy and life in Buenos Aires. Without the assistance I received through OM Connect, I wouldn’t have been able to embark upon such an incredible 18 months abroad.”

“Work experience was crucial for me because it provided an insight into the world of work, the demands and expectations and the skills needed. I met Consultant Plastic Surgeon Tom Bragg (4.90-95) when he came back to College to speak about his work, and arranged three weeks’ work experience in General Practice, Cardiology, Plastic Surgery, Neurological Rehabilitation and a Clinical Skills Lab. The College’s Careers & Higher Education department also has access to OM Connect, a network of OMs who are only too willing to help. As an OM now, I have access to OM Connect which helps me to stay in touch with alumni and offers mentoring and support.”
