Chapter 8: Divine Breakthroughs
What does it mean to break through in a spiritual context? Many years ago I met a man who had spent seven solid days in prayer and fasting. He had many needs that required urgent answers. He told me that God gave him a breakthrough the week that followed. Many times God has instructed me to pray and fast, sometimes for three days or more before I saw a breakthrough. Divine breakthrough is when God comes your way to give you answers to your spiritual, emotion or physical dilemmas. Some answers may be in the form of practical help, not only spiritual help. 1 Chronicles 14:11 says:
So they went up to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there. Then David said, “God has broken through my enemies by my hand like a breakthrough of water.” Therefore
