oxen that could not be counted or numbered for multitude.
Solomon too was a man of sacrifice, he knew God through sacrifices. That was the secret of his prosperity. His prosperity plan entirely thrived on his sacrifices, not that he was perfect in the sight of God. When God smells your sacrificial life style he remembers the covenants, and then he is prompted to perform his greatness in your life (Genesis 8:20-21). Men of success are men of sacrifice. 2 Chronicles 1:6 again quotes:
And Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before the Lord, which was at the tabernacle of meeting, and offered a thousand burnt offerings on it.
A life of sacrifice will command God’s attention in your life especially in times of trouble. Let us look at 2 Chronicles 1:7:
On that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, “Ask! What shall I give you?”
God gave Solomon access to the heavenly treasures and that was the source of his wealth. It is never too late for you! Though at the end of his reign Solomon
