Understanding the Divine Secrets
Chapter 21: Reproofs Are Part of God’s Agenda
Proverbs 1:23 says:
Turn at my rebuke; surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.
What are reproofs? What does it mean to be reproved? The English dictionary doesn’t have the right definition for reproof! Biblical reproofs or rebuke are not there to embarrass you or destroy you, but to correct you so that you can shine in your road to destiny. Once your destiny lacks reproofs the truth is that you will stumble and probably get stagnant in life. Many people I know today are stagnant and frustrated in life because they do not want to be reproved or corrected by God himself.
So, they keep on pining away! They don’t accept anybody’s correction or advice: they are self-centered
