To kick off our Shoe Drives, the Epsilon Gamma Omega Chapter (EGO) held a massive shoe drive at the second chapter
meeting of the year to collect shoes prior to the Cluster activities. The drive was designed to not only collect shoes, but to show the Sorors exactly what we would be doing at other locations throughout the year. Sorors were notified via the chapter weekly news update and via the one-call now system to bring their shoes to the meeting. The flyer was also posted on the chapter Facebook and Twitter pages.
Sorors brought shoes in mass quantities. Shoes were collected, counted, wrapped in rubber bands, sorted and packaged. After the meeting, Sorors loaded up their cars and vans and took shoes to the UPS store and shipped them to Soles 4 Souls.
pairs of shoes were collected at the meeting and reported at the Alabama Cluster.
