National Museum of the Great–Lakes Shipwrecks and Archaeology

The National Museum of the Great Lakes tells the incredible story of the Great Lakes at its interactive facility in Toledo, Ohio. Their Shipwrecks and Archaeology presentation shows the entire stream of the archaeologist, from research, to discovery, to investigation, and finally to analysis and publication. Along the way examples of Lake Erie shipwrecks are used to highlight each step.
FEE: Event is included with the price of admission.

Explore Archery Class 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
This one-hour class will teach the basics. Topics include range safety, rules, equipment, the 11 steps to shooting and arrow retrieval.
All equipment is provided.
Children, adults and families are welcome.
Children must be age 8 or older to participate and must present a signed parent/guardian waiver.
You must pre-register to participate. Class maximum is 12 participants. FEE: $12
Fire Safety with Smokey Bear
3:00 p.m.
Join us in our efforts to stop damages to trees caused by hot charcoals dumped around tree trunks. Meet Smokey Bear and learn different ways you can prevent wildfires and tree damage while you are at the parks this summer. Presented by U.S. Forest Service.
