Fishing the Detroit River
Put your casting skills to good practice while fishing the Detroit River at Milliken State Park. Try your luck at adding your catch to our daily leaderboard! This will be a great program for all experience levels. Equipment and instruction will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring their own gear, and staff can assist with setup if needed.
Participants over the age of 17 are required to have a 2021 fishing license. Purchase your fishing license online at Michigan.gov/DNRLicenses.
This program will be outside rain or shine - be sure to dress for the weather. It is often windy and colder by the river.

Incredible Insects
Nets, bugs, exploration, and discovery! Join us to learn about some common types of insects here in Michigan and their important roles in our ecosystems during a guided bug safari in Milliken State Park. Each participant will be provided a insect net, bug box, and magnifying lens for exploration.
