  Employee Spotlight - George Cardaris
 Welcome to the team!
George Cardaris joined our team as a full time Recreation Coordinator in November of 2021, after holding a similar position for Redford Township Parks & Recreation Department. George worked for our Recreation Department previously in a part time capacity, fulfilling many different roles where he found his passion for Parks and Recreation.
George’s educational background started locally at Chippewa Valley High School, then he received a Bachelor’s degree in Community Development and Public Administration from Central Michigan University. Through his years of experience in recreation, he has held positions with programs such as early childhood, day camp, seasonal special events, adaptive recreation and sports leagues. He is very familiar with our township as a lifelong resident!
The combination of his education and experience will make him a valuable asset to our recreation department. Having been a part of recreation programs as a youth participant, he also understands the value of community programs and is looking forward to working for the Township!
