The Detroit River was a pretty busy place during Prohibition. With tremendous amounts of illegal liquor enteringtheUnitedStatesfromCanadaduringthe1920’sandearly1930’s,storiesabound. Joinsome young “old timers” as we travel back to the era of blind pigs, rum-running and panther sweat. Participants are urged to dress for the occasion in period-style clothing and tell a few stories of their own! OurfriendsfromtheLakeErieMetroparkMarshlandsMuseumarejoiningustopresentthis fascinating program.
This event is open to those 21 and older and is sponsored by Friends of the OAC. Beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and light snacks will be provided.
FEE: $18 per person.
