In May, Executive Director Craig Hartley testified before the United States House
of Representatives- Committee on the Judiciary in Washington, DC. The topic was Policing Strategies for the 21st Century.
In October Executive Director Hartley participated in the United States House Representatives-Republican Task Force on Law Enforcement Hearing for the purpose of exploring public policies to support law enforcement in the delivery of services.

In November at the CALEA Conference in Miami, Florida, changes were made to the Celebration Banquet in response
to client feedback. These changes included narrated master of ceremony activities and pre-banquet photograph opportunities. The results of the changes received positive comments from clients, commissioners and staff.

In November the first group of accredited agencies transitioned into the new assessment model. The new model
focuses on annual remote web-based file assessments and site-based assessments every four years. Development of the CALEA Information Management Reporting System (CIMRS) began in 2015, which will serve
as the software to assessment reporting information within the new process.
In November Executive Director Hartley participated as an expert panelist for IACP/BJA NTTAC Equipment Acquisition Project to develop model policy on the subject. Executive Director Hartley also participated in the IACP Model Policy Advisory Board.

From an administrative management perspective, the Great Plains Financial Management software was updated
with significant improvements regarding expense recording and reconciliation reporting. The upgrade more effectively supports all financial management require- ments for the organization.
Commissioners and staff participated in 21 local accreditation certificate presentations and attended 59 Accreditation Support Network meetings.
At year’s end, CALEA had 1025 clients enrolled, reflecting a 12% growth rate and a retention rate of 93.5 percent. This included a total of 73 new clients entering the process in 2015.
CALEA CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS
March 18–21, 2015 Reno, Nevada
The Spring CALEA Conference was celebrated as the 106th CALEA Conference; 101 agencies were presented for Commission review.
The Reno Conference was the debut for the CALEA Conference App; and a staff award for 15 years of service was given to Maya M. Mitchell.
July 22-25, 2015
Colorado Springs, Colorado
The Summer CALEA Conference saw 87 agencies presented for Commission review. Fifteen agencies received the CALEA Accreditation with Excellence Award. Thirty-four agencies were recognized as a Meritorious Agency for achieving and maintaining CALEA Accreditation for 15 or more continuous years.
November 18-21, 2015 Miami, Florida
The Fall CALEA Conference recognized retiring CALEA Commissioners Gary Margolis, Gary Cordner, and Daniel Parkinson for nine years of service. Commissioner Eddie Tallon was also recognized for three years of service
as a Commissioner. Colonel Stephen McCartney of the Warwick (RI) Police Department received the Egon Bittner Award. Additionally, 113 agencies were presented for Commission review.
