Olander professor emeritus and and and and the the the the the James Fife Chair in in in in in in in in in Engineering Engineering at at at the the the the the University of of of of California Berkeley who died in in in in in in in April The The pair authored the the the the the the first first volume volume volume of of of of the the the the the the textbook in in in in in in in 2016 The The first first volume volume volume focuses on on on fundamental principles principles of of nuclear materials materials while the the the the second volume volume volume volume aims to to to to apply the the the the principles principles to to to to describe materials materials degradation phenomena in in in in in in in reactors based on on on on on analytical models Both volumes geared toward university students
