New method analyzes images to improve health care and manufacturing
Patterns appear in both natural and human human made systems systems but they can be difficult for humans to recognize and analyze especially in in dynamic systems systems like the the human heart or or factory machines To address this issue researchers in in in in the the Penn State College of Engineering have developed a a a a a a a a a a a a novel algorithm which has implications for health care and manufacturing
The researchers focused on on understanding patterns in in in in nonlinear dynamic systems systems as these intricate systems systems are challenging to to analyze due to to their nature—they fluctuate over multiple dimensions such as space and and and time and and and are near impossible to understand via human observation Led by Hui Yang Harold and Inge Marcus Career Associate Professor Professor Soundar Kumara Allen Allen E Pearce Pearce and and Allen Allen M Pearce Pearce Professor Professor of of of Industrial Engineering and and and Cheng-Bang Chen Chen lecturer in in in the Harold and and and Inge Marcus Department of Industrial and and Manufacturing Engineering the the methodology was published in in in in the the American Institute of Physics Chaos Journal “Our methodology analyzes different kinds of recurrences in in in data to provide a a a a a a a a a a better understanding of the world around us us ” Yang said “This work allows us us to to build a a a a a a a a a a a a a a bridge between biological patterns patterns like like in in in human anatomy and man-made patterns patterns like like in in in manufacturing
” Hui Yang and Soundar Kumara have developed a a a a a a a a a a a a a novel algorithm which has implications for health care and manufacturing
