The Summer Begins at the Buses

The countdown is on! As you and your camper prepare for departure day, reference this magazine for all the information you need to know about a summer at Timberlane – how to prepare, what to expect and even how to get there!
Camp really starts the second your camper steps on the bus. We encourage all campers to head up to camp on the bus to bond with their peers. We assign buses by age group, so kids head up to camp with the very people that will be a huge part of their camp experience. There are experienced bus counsellors on every bus. If your child is coming to camp for the first time and does not know anybody, please let us know - we will buddy him/her up with another child. If you prefer, we can also arrange for siblings to sit together. For specific bus requests, please contact the camp office prior to June 10th.
The Timberlane buses depart from The Hangar parking lot at Downsview Park. The departure party begins at 10:30am, and all buses depart at 12:00pm sharp.
We use 54-seat LUXURY COACHES equipped with washrooms. If you choose not to attend the departure party, please make sure to arrive 30 minutes prior to your departure time. You will receive a separate information package, which will include your child’s bus number and departure time. If you have not received this information by Friday June 10, please contact our offices immediately.
If your child is bringing medication to camp, one of our camp nurses will be at the buses to ensure safe transport of all medications up to camp. Please do not send medication up to camp with your child and label all medication with your camper’s name, dosage and instructions.
Please do not send any snacks containing traces of peanuts/tree nuts with your child on the bus. Timberlane is a peanut/tree nut free camp, and we will have children with NUT ALLERGIES traveling on
