The Jockey Club has established a free Tattoo Identi cation Service which will be offered as a resource to help owners identify tattooed but unknown Thoroughbreds in their possession.

Toronto Raptors’ all-star forward Chris Bosh will be the drawmaster for the Woodbine Oaks, presented by Budweiser, which will be contested on Sunday, June 7, at Woodbine. The post position draw ceremonies are scheduled for June 4.
Canadian Hockey icon Gordie Howe will be the drawmaster for this year’s 150th running of the Queen’s Plate, which will be contested on Sunday, June 21, at Woodbine.
Often referred to as Mr. Hockey, and widely regarded as one of the greatest hockey players of all time, Howe will assist in draw ceremonies on June 18 at the Toronto oval.

For legible tattoos, an owner can use a free tattoo lookup feature available from The Jockey Club’s website, www. jockeyclub.com, and the Registry homepage, www.registry.jockeyclub. com.
As an incentive to encourage participation, The Jockey Club will match the checkoff on a dollar-to-dollar basis up to $200,000 in 2009. Checkoff proceeds and matching funds are being distributed to those two organizations on a quarterly basis, with over $100,000 distributed thus far.
For illegible tattoos or partial tattoos, customer service representatives from the Registry will provide free research of a Thoroughbred’s identity
