Rick Hansen of Gourmandissimo Catering in Caledon East provided the refreshments for the Open House and was also serving up the Pelee Island wine which had special “Tomahawk” labeling.

Open House on December 19 to showcase the new stallion Tomahawk who will be standing for $8500 at Park Stud in 2005.
Auctioneer Ryan Mahan, who was visit- ing from Kentucky, braved the cold to say a few words about Tomahawk. Ryan was the auctioneer at Keeneland when Tomahawk sold for $2.5 million to Demi O’Byrne.

Paul Maguire, organizer of the Can-Am Event says “These young riders demonstrate an example of an unique partnership between rider and horse, and we at Can-Am would like to honor that. Can-Am Equine Emporium has chosen the Ontario Therapeutic Riding Association (Ontra) as this years Charity of Choice.”
The Acceptional Riders will have Can-Am goers on their feet applauding their encouragement but don’t forget your handkerchief, you’ll need it for this one!

Acceptional Riders have been showcasing
the benefits of Therapeutic riding since Can-Am’s inception in 2003. Riders chal- lenged with cerebral palsy, autism, amputees and other physical, mental and emotional obstacles show their courage and love of riding. With the aid of their volunteers, Riders leave the earthly bounds of wheelchairs and “Can'ts” to mount their ponies and follow the Pony Man beyond the earthly bounds.
