Softball in Support of Lanscott Fray
On September 17, The Jockeys’ Bene t Association of Canada, along with the HBPA and Woodbine Entertainment hosted the inaugural Backstretch Softball Classic in support of the Avelino Gomez Memorial Foundation.

The proceeds from the Softball Classic this year were raised to assist Woodbine-based jockey/exercise rider Lanscott Fray, who was left paralyzed from the chest down after a training accident earlier in the year.
