Trainer Barbara Minshall spends her winters getting her horses ready for racing at Minshall Farms in Ocala Florida.
The 200 acre farm provides a peaceful environment for the horses who begin training in January.
Barbara has 32 horses who are either getting a break or preparing for 2005.
Next season Barbara says she plans on leaving her older horses at home, freeing up stalls for outside clients who want to give their two-year-olds an early start.

Trainer Nancy Triola earned her trainers license in October 2004 and at the time of this interview in early February 2005, Nancy was five for five as a trainer.
Get Down is a Canadian bred colt by Doneraile Court
who won both of his starts as a 2-year-old at Woodbine for
Nancy and owners West Point. Nancy is pointing towards
the Ocala Breeder Sale Stakes for his first start as a three-year-old.
Nancy has since recorded another three wins in her three starts at Tampa Bay Downs this past January.
Originally from Barrie, Ontario, Nancy has been involved with horses since the age of four. She started on the racetrack at age 15, galloping and grooming at Woodbine.
Since then she had been working for trainer Rick Violet at Aqueduct and Saratoga racetracks in New York. Rick encouraged her to become a trainer and Nancy and her newly wed husband moved to Oakville, Ontario. Shortly after the birth of their daughter, the 33-year-old began her training career at Woodbine for three U.S. based owners.
Trainer Mike DePaulo sent down a string of 12 horses to Classic Mile in Florida this winter. Florida Barn Foreman, Sean Coulthard, poses here with 3-year-old stakes placed filly, Go Dancer Go, who he says is headed towards the Labatt Woodbine Oaks.

Did You Know....
That jockey Kieren Fallon has returned to Britain in February after
cutting short his riding spell at Gulfstream Park in Florida. He had been expected to ride at Gulfstream until mid-March however reports stated that he didn’t like the fast ground and the hard turf.
